This device allows you to charge two battery banks from one source, like a vehicle alternator, without draining the main bank. The voltage sensitive relay (VSR) senses the main battery voltage, connecting the secondary bank only when the primary is fully charged, ensuring it never drains the main battery.
With dual-sense technology, the VSR monitors both batteries. If either is charging, it activates, allowing the second battery to charge from an external source. It can handle currents up to 100A with zero voltage drop, and its no-moving-parts design makes it suitable for marine and vehicle split charging applications. This is a direct alternative to the Durite 100A VSR.
Fitting Instructions
Connect the main and auxiliary batteries to either of the VSR's terminals. The VSR's MCU automatically identifies the main and auxiliary batteries and charges them accordingly. Connect the small black wire to earth.
