This device lets you charge two separate battery banks from one source, like a vehicle alternator, without draining the main battery. The voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) senses the main battery voltage and only connects the secondary bank when the primary is fully charged, ensuring the secondary bank never drains the main.
With dual-sense capability, the VSR detects voltage in both batteries. If either battery is charging, it activates, allowing for charging from an external source too. It handles up to 140A with zero voltage drop, and its no-moving-parts design makes it ideal for marine applications and vehicle split charging. This is a direct alternative to the Durite 140A VSR and comes with E Mark approval.
Fitting Instructions
Connect the main and auxiliary batteries to the terminals labelled 'Start Bat' and 'Second Bat.' The small black wire should be connected to earth.
