This product contains many different types of protection features, including short circuit, over-current, and over-voltage protection. When you enter the protection mode, the LEDs will blink red. If this happens, simply remove the adapter and check to see if the circuit is shorted, or if the electrical power is greater than the adapter's rated power.
Please note, the no-load status LED is green, and the charging LED indicator is red during the first phase of constant current charging.
The second step of constant voltage charging involves charging the rated voltage while the current gradually declines. LED lights turn green when the battery power is between 90-95%. The charger will charge with a minimal current until it is fully charged.
